YOUR MICROBLADDING FAQ'S ANSWERED

Microblading has taken the world of beauty by storm over the past few years and offers clients many benefits! But the idea of getting your eyebrows tattooed can be a little scary, right? And we’re sure you have questions! That is why we have put together this blog that answers some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to microblading.

Q: How is Microblading Different to Traditional Cosmetic Tattooing?

Microblading is a much softer and gentler form of cosmetic tattooing as it uses feather touch technology, as well pigment rather than ink, to produce a far more natural and subtler look.

Q: Is Microblading 100% Permanent?

Unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, microblading isn’t 100% permanent. The pigment used in microblading is designed to fade after a few years, which allows the artist to make changes to the shape and colour as your aesthetic desires may change in time. Touch-ups are recommended every two to three years.

Q; How Long Does the Appointment Take?

Each appointment may differ in time depending on the artist and the client, but most appointments take around 2 hours.

Q: Does Microblading Hurt?

Most artists will apply an anesthetic gel to reduce the pain. While clients may feel some discomfort, the procedure is not generally described as painful.

Q: Can I Exercise After My Microblading Appointment?

It is recommended that you do not take part in vigorous exercise for around a week after your microblading appointment. After any light exercise, you should wipe your face with lukewarm water to remove any sweat.

Q: Are There Any Other Aftercare Instructions?

Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching the microbladed area. You should also keep the area clean and dry by wiping it with lukewarm water 2 or 3 times a day and drying softly with a towel afterwards. You will experience dryness and perhaps flaking, and at no point should you ever pick at this dry skin as it will disrupt the healing process.

You should also keep the area out of direct sunlight for around two weeks. For the first two weeks, you should also avoid applying make-up to the microbladed area.
